About the job
As the Electrical Engineer at our Direct Air Capture facility in Ector County, TX you will:
- Develop, manage, and participate in programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe work
- Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce cost
- Provide QAQC support conducting inspections, performance quality audits, and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while assisting in the identification and resolution of quality-related issues.
- Provide cost estimating and engineering proposals on routine replacement of equipment to correct maintenance problems or for the improvement of processing equipment
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance organizations throughout the plant to evaluate and resolve maintenance problems
- Provide training to production, maintenance, and other departments in the proper operation, troubleshooting, repair techniques, controls, and care of electrical equipment
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years previous Electrical Engineering Experience in a Power Generation or Manufacturing Environment required, 10 or more years preferred.
- Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and in the time required
- Strong analytical/problem solving/trouble shooting skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team and to develop team members
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs
- Walking, bending, stooping is required
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator and be able to respond to visual and audible alarms
