About the job
Job Purpose
This position maintains and repairs all electrical equipment on the rig site, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The Rig Electrician accomplishes this by troubleshooting electrical problems, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and assisting the Chief Electrician with basic electrical systems installation, repair, and maintenance. The Rig Electrician focuses on the more routine tasks of the electrical equipment, taking direction from and under the supervision of the Chief Electrician.

Total Years of Experience (Minimum)
2 Years of experience in the oil and gas industry or working in a remote environment.
Relevant Experience
- Knowledgeable in PLC, VDF and drilling electrical equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of electrical equipment.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
Education / Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical Engineering
