The Logistics HSSE Advisor is responsible for the coordination, planning and management of all roadways used by Staff, Contractors and the Public. This includes all security and access requirements, traffic management and coordination with various departments within PETRONAS Abu Dhabi (PAD) and the implementation and monitoring of the required controls in accordance with Local Regulations and PETRONAS policies. 

This position is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of HSSE within logistic operation including transportation, material handling, site security, welfare and any coordination of the required field resources to ensure all PETRONAS roadways remain safe and incident free. Additionally, this role involves developing procedures, risk assessments, capability building and auditing to promote the safety and security of all people driving on our roadways within the field.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of HSE and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This is a 1 Year Contract Position, Abu Dhabi-based with frequent travel to our field locations required. 

Key Responsibilities:

• HSSE Performance – Field Land Transport 

Administer, advise and improve HSSE reporting and data collection for HSSE performance metrics specific to journey management, road hazards, driving conditions, unsafe acts/conditions, near misses or incident reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 7 – 10 Years of HSSE, Project Transportation Management and or Security experience, with experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5+ Years Experience in logistics coordination/management of contractors, auditing/assurance, incident investigation, and managing worker wellness in remote locations.
• Ability to prepare and implement traffic control plans and site security processes.
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a professional demeanor even in critical and time sensitive situations.
• A highly motivated team player who focuses on getting the job done with a high degree of accuracy and flexibility to meet operational demands.
• A resourceful self-starter who quickly builds productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in using various data to identify trends or at-risk themes.

• Valid H2S Certificate
