Role Purpose
Support the Drilling Section Leader in managing the drilling department and ensure safe, efficient execution of all well and drilling operations.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years as Driller
Valid IWCF Level 4 (Supervisory) Well Control Certificate
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Mandatory – Canada Only
BST • H₂S • Regulatory Awareness • WHMIS • Well Control
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor all drilling and well activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
Prepare and plan for upcoming drilling operations.
Oversee drilling equipment maintenance, certification, and readiness.
Ensure compliance with Seadrill policies, client programs, and governing regulations.
Provide clear operational guidance to crew and ensure accurate daily drilling reports.
Conduct shift handovers, training, and performance appraisals for subordinates.
Assist in well control operations, budget control, and coordination with third-party contractors.
Promote safety leadership, emergency preparedness, and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
Must pass physical, drug screen, and background check.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
