JOB SUMMARY

The Rig Equipment Technician assists the Projects group with the rig up and rig down of drilling rigs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to assemble parts of equipment to prepare a rig for drilling.
• Assists the Forklift Operator with offloading and back loading of supply vehicles.
• Performs housekeeping activities including washing, chipping and painting.
• Assists Forklift Operator with moving and relocating supplies, pipe and other equipment which involves attaching slings and cables to the object being moved.
• Assists the project R/U team within the mud pit, mud pump, etc.
• Performs other general labor duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable supervision
• General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations/requirements
• Must have Rig Pass, Rigger and H2S training or be able to pass the training when offered by the Company.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the rig or job site

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent
