JOB PURPOSE:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the maintenance activities for SANAD’s drilling rigs and associated equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of all assets. This role will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and safety of equipment, managing maintenance schedules, and providing technical support to field operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

·         Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of drilling rigs and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

·         Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifecycle of critical machinery.

·         Collaborate with field teams to diagnose equipment issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

·         Conduct regular inspections of rigs and machinery to assess their operational readiness.

·         Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with the company’s safety and quality standards.

·         Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance.

·         Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians (EMS), providing direction and guidance on tasks.

·         Conduct training sessions for technicians and field staff on equipment maintenance and safe work practices.

·         Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the team.

·         Work closely with the procurement and logistics departments to ensure timely availability of parts and equipment.

·         Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting production activities.

·         Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment downtime.

·         Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, costs, and equipment reliability to senior management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of drilling rig machinery, including engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance supervision within the oil and gas industry, preferably in drilling operations.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
