About the job
Duties and Responsibilities (shall include but not be limited to):
• Perform emergency duties as per Station Bill and Emergency Procedures manual.
• Effectively participate in the Stop Observe Act Report (SOAR) program and encourage active participation.
• Comply with and effectively contribute to the continuous improvement of RMS; Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) related policies and procedures, and relevant authority regulatory requirements.
• Assist or direct the review and/or approval of any HSE related or other relevant documentation impacting their area of responsibility.
• Responsible and accountable for HSE compliance within their area of responsibility, including communication and implementation of such policies and procedures; demonstrate management’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Ensure Floormen, Pumpman and Derrickmen are correctly deployed for ongoing and upcoming operations, and that they are familiar with the equipment in use and its safe operation.
• Ensure planned maintenance on drilling equipment is performed by the drilling crew and is recorded.
• Carry out daily checks and ensure the choke manifold is properly lined up for the current operation.
• Perform thorough and timely derrick inspections and Dropped Object Checks, document the results, and ensure any anomalies are reported.
• Ensure good housekeeping in all drilling areas.
• Complete sections of daily drilling reports as directed by the Driller.
• Calculate and record drilling line ton miles.
Qualification and Experience:
· Candidate should be certified in Well-control supervisor training.
Skills:
• Knowledge of well pressure system and drilling fluids
• Understanding of drilling methods and terms
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of emergency procedure and health, safety regulation
