Job Purpose
The Marine EHS Coordinator is responsible for implementing, administering and coordinating global SIRE inspections and ENOC Marine EHS vetting and clearance management system activities including the supporting Marine ASSURANCE AND Vetting (MAV) database to maintain and improve the Marine EHS Performance Management System. This system is critical for managing an estimated revenue of 3 – 5 Million USD.
Principal Accountabilities
Principal accountability for the development and maintenance of the Marine Assurance and Vetting database, uploading reports and improving the system as required by the Inspectors or the Manager – Marine EHS
Responsible as a Lead for implementing Quality management system within Marine EHS function.
Prepares global SIRE inspection and terminal annual EHS audit plans, plans allocation of SIRE inspectors, makes logistical arrangements, tracks the inspection until completion and follows up on reports after completion of the inspections received.
Manages the for the department, raises invoices for the services rendered to the clients and follows up until payments are received; prepares quarterly account statements and escalates if intervention from the Manager – Marine EHS is warranted for collection of overdue amount from clients.
Generates monthly data and analyses trends as required by the Manager – Marine EHS; prepares presentations as required by the Manager – Marine EHS and or his/her team.
Effectively provides the administrative support functions for the Marine EHS Assurance team in its both, Assurance and services function.
Prepares, plans and budgets for the function o that it has sufficient resources to achieve its agreed objectives.
Issues alerts/incident reports and publishes on the ENOC portal as required by the Manager – Marine EHS
Manages interface with external and internal service providers such as IT, Finance and Legal etc.
Co-ordinates with Marine EHS team and the Business Units for arranging marine EHS related training programs/seminars and conferences.
Experience
⦁ A Graduate preferably in Commerce or Finance
⦁ 3-5 years of experience in a similar position with a reputable organisation;
⦁ Experience with marine/shipping/Oil/Chemical industry is preferable;
⦁ Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint apart from accounting standards/software such as Tally.
⦁ Must have reasonable command of English, written and spoken, and must be able to communicate clearly;
⦁ Must have excellent analytical skills both in terms of data analysis and investigative analytical skills;
⦁ Must have excellent interpersonal skills; must maintain high levels of integrity and reliability.
