Job Description:
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Works with the Engineering Team to develop scopes of work, provides input to the planning process and delivers in accordance with the agreed schedule.
Provides first line process engineering support and discipline updates to KhorMor Engineering and Operations and works closely with both functions to improve and optimise plant capability in order to maximise gas delivery and liquids recovery, including managing the process to maximise the efficiency of both primary & secondary condensate recovery, and adjusting LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) recovery parameters to most effectively meet market demand.
Identifies, develops, implements and tracks all Process aspects relating to KhorMor projects and provides discipline expertise for centrally run projects (Erbil and Sharjah Offices).
Provides Technical input and champions Process and Process Safety for Hazard analysis, Safety reviews, Audit and MOC.
Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
- Minimum (10) years’ experience in engineering, preferably Process Engineering with at least 5 years with operating facilities / or equivalent
- Minimum (5) years’ engineering experience in operating facilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Safety Analysis
- Conducts baseline process assessments of KhorMor facilities.
- Analyses results of these assessments, records findings and develops conclusions and recommendations to present to management.
- Prepares technical aspects of process improvement measures.
- Liaises with Sharjah Office Process Engineers (or outsourcing contractors) to ensure planned process changes are peer reviewed.
- Conducts initial process engineering and process safety related evaluations in coordination with the Senior Process Safety Engineer, the Engineering Manager and subsequently the Plant Manager.
