About the job
Purpose of the Role
Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of classification and integrity programs across Seadrill’s offshore drilling fleet. Oversee Special Periodical Surveys (SPS), Continuous Surveys (CSH/CMS/CSE), and the Rig Integrity Program to ensure full compliance with class and statutory requirements, minimize operational risk, and maintain asset integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage classification and flag compliance, ensuring all surveys, inspections, and certifications are current.
Liaise with class societies (ABS, DNV, etc.) and corporate Marine teams to align with latest regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, MODU Code).
Plan, track, and report on SPS schedules, survey progress, and compliance metrics.
Coordinate with offshore teams, shipyards, and vendors for survey execution and documentation.
Oversee Rig Integrity Program—monitoring structural, mechanical, and operational integrity, and ensuring reliability across the fleet.
Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reviews.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Naval Engineering (required).
8+ years in offshore marine or drilling operations with focus on classification and compliance.
Strong understanding of class rules, IMO/flag regulations, and technical documentation.
Skilled in project planning, survey coordination, and use of systems like Maximo.
Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
Preferred
Class Society Surveyor or Shipyard Audit experience.
ISM/ISPS Internal Auditor certification.
STCW endorsement or prior marine license.
