Floorhand – Unit Drilling Company
Job Description
As a Floorhand, you will support daily rig operations, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and assist crew members in handling equipment and tubular goods. This role is physically demanding, requires strong teamwork, and plays a vital part in safe and efficient drilling operations.
Responsibilities
Assist with rig operations and equipment maintenance
Prepare rig floor for trips, surveys, and connections
Maintain housekeeping on the rig and drill site
Handle tubular goods under Motor Hand’s direction
Support Derrick Hand and train less experienced crew members
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication skills
Reliable, dedicated, and able to work under pressure
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
Work Conditions
14/14 schedule (or other rotation)
Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Exposure to noise, chemicals, moving parts, and heavy equipment
Must be able to lift up to 126 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
